David Vernon Granberg was born Sept. 16, 1953 to Vernon and Donna (Rueb) Granberg in Valley Springs. He was baptized and confirmed at Beaver Valley Lutheran Church. David was raised on the family farmstead and received his education in Valley Springs and graduated from Brandon Valley High School. Following high school, David continued his education first in Worthington, Minn., and then earned his degree at South Dakota State University in Brookings.
David was married to Deb Hammer in 1979 and from this union was blessed with two sons, Brent and Jason. On July 30, 2005, David was united in marriage with Charlene Mikulichek-Ruzicka at Beaver Valley Lutheran Church. From this union, David was blessed with the addition of Charlene’s two sons, Jeremy and Jason.

Funeral services for Jerome V. Larson, 87, of Brandon, were held Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 at Kimball Protestant Parish in Kimball with burial in the Riverview Cemetery at Chamberlain, S.D.
Mr. Larson passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018.
Jerome Vernon Larson was born on Jan. 18, 1931 in Wagner to Harry F. and Agnes (Hult) Larson. He attended grade school at Wagner and graduated from high school in 1948 from Pukwana school. Jerome was united in marriage to Helen Anna Svenson on Feb. 14, 1954 in Chamberlain. Jerome served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, stationed in Germany for most of that time. Jerome was happy that Helen and Harris joined him during his time in Germany. After returning from Germany, he engaged in farming and raising black Angus cattle in Pukwana with his father and brothers. In 1966, the family moved to Kimball, S.D., expanding the family farm. Jerome brought one of the first four-wheel drive tractors into Brule County from Canada. He was always trying to find ways to be more efficient in farming and in growing the farm.
