Funeral services for Margaret Rose (Fjellestad) Robinson, 78, of Sioux Falls, were held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at the Miller Funeral Home in downtown Sioux Falls. Interment will be held later this year at Belleview Cemetery, rural Howard.
She died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at home due to complications following a diagnosis of multiple myeloma.
Margaret taught speech and drama for 22 years at Brandon Valley High School, where she directed a score of productions. Her efforts won her a place in BV’s Fine Arts Hall of Fame in 2006.
She is survived by her husband, Ron; brother, Richard Fjellestad of Panama City, Fla.; sister, Helen Groeneveld of Oshkosh, Wis.; daughter, Tania Robinson and son-in-law, Phillip Lunceford of Grandview, Mo.; three grandsons, Noel Lunceford of Grandview, Josiah (Cierra) Lunceford of Kirksville, Mo., and Samuel Lunceford of Grandview; nieces, Lorri Groeneveld and Julie (John) Shultz, both of Oshkosh; great-granddaughter, Nicole Lunceford of Lawton, Okla.

Donald A. Lootens, 75, of Brandon, S.D., died Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at Ava’s House Hospice in Sioux Falls. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Risen Savior Catholic Church in Brandon.

Donald August Lootens was born Jan. 17, 1943, to August and Doris (Kompelien) Lootens. He attended grade school at St. Edwards in Minneota, Minn., and graduated from high school in Canby, Minn. He then earned his bachelor’s degree in Ag Economics from the University of Minnesota. He was baptized, took First Communion, and was confirmed at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota.

James E. Voldseth was born March 30, 1928, in Vermillion, S.D., to Arne and Gunvor (Fallen) Voldseth. He served in the U.S. Army, serving in both World War II and the Korean War. He married Verlyn Gillette on June 30, 1949. Jim owned and operated “Big Jim’s” garbage service in Brandon from 1965-1970, and then worked for the City of Brandon in maintenance from 1971-1975. The family then moved to Humboldt, S.D., where he worked in maintenance for the City of Humboldt from 1975-1985. They moved to Sioux Falls in 1985, where he worked for Gage Bros. from 1985-1993.
In his retirement, Jim enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Jim and Verlyn moved back to Brandon in September 2013, where Jim resided until moving to Southridge in September 2018.
