Beverly Beryl (Hauck) Coughlin peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at the age of 91, at Bethany Meadows in Brandon, S.D. Funeral services will be 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at George Boom Funeral Chapel, Brandon. Visitation with family present to greet friends will be from 3 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Society (PO Box 426, De Smet, SD 57231), Risen Savior Catholic Church (301 N. Splitrock Blvd., Brandon, SD, 57005), or a charity of your choice. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 8, 2018 at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in De Smet. A luncheon for family and friends will follow the graveside at the Event Center in De Smet.
She was born March 25, 1926 to Wayne and Grace (Pirlet) Hauck in Kingsbury County. When she was in the second grade she moved to De Smet and attended grade school and high school, graduating from De Smet High School with the class of 1944 as Salutatorian of her class.
