Vernon Edward “Cork” Serck, 90, of Inwood, Iowa, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at Fellowship Village in Inwood. Visitation with the family present will take place at Porter Funeral Home, 102 S. Main Street in Inwood, at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, followed by the service at 2 p.m. Burial with military honors will be at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery in Alvord, Iowa, immediately following the service.

Mass of Christian burial is planned for 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20 at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, with burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery, also in Sioux Falls.

Visitation with the family present will take place from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, also at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
