For a brief moment Thursday, the Lady Lynx got to celebrate their 50-41 win over the O’Gorman Knights in the AA state quarterfinals, and then it was back to work to prepare for Friday’s semifinal test against No. 1 seed, Aberdeen Central.

The Yankton girls’ basketball team may have out-rebounded the Lady Lynx 2 to 1 (36-18) Saturday, but Brandon Valley’s pressure defense got the best of the Gazelles by forcing 20 turnovers in the 52-41 road win.
