MSU-Mankato Dean’s List released

The Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean’s lists) for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been released.

Among 3,434 students, a total of 1,081 students qualified for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 straight “A” average, while 2,353 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the Honor List.  

To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester.

A number of students from Brandon are included on the Dean’s list. They are: Kaitlyn Bannwarth (Honor List), Kyla Brodkorb (Honor List), Cait Jacobson (Honor List), Madeline Jacobson (High Honor List), Bailey Nelson (Honor List), and Maddy Mofle (Honor List).

Dakota State University celebrates spring 2023 graduates

Dakota State University in Madison celebrates spring 2023 graduates. The 279 graduates earned a total of 357 degrees, 36 associate degrees, 216 baccalaureate degrees, 42 master’s degrees and nine earned doctoral degrees. Additionally, 52 undergraduate certificates and 2 graduate certificates were earned. 

Honors distinctions include: Summa Cum Laude (3.9 Grade Point Average or higher); Magna Cum Laude (3.7 to 3.9 GPA); and Cum Laude (3.5 to 3.7 GPA). For associate degree graduates, the distinctions are With Highest Honors (3.9 GPA or above); With High Honor (3.7 to 3.9 GPA); and With Honor (3.5 to 3.7 GPA). 

Three students from Brandon are among the graduates. They are: Maxwell Allmon, Bachelor of Science in Digital Arts & Design – Digital Sound Design, Cum Laude; Colter Elkin, Associate of Science in Business Management; and Brennan Meester, Bachelor of Science in Cyber Operations, Cum Laude.

Stellinga is Eastern Wyoming College grad

Garret Stellinga, of Brandon, is one of 171 graduates from Eastern Wyoming College, Torrington, Wyo.
