Talk of the Town: March 17

March needs at the BAFP
March needs at the Brandon Area Food Pantry are hot cocoa mix, bottled juices, sugar (4 lb. bags), flour (5 lb. bags), Dinty Moore Beef Stew, toothpaste and small bags of dog and cat food.
Due to recent large-scale donations, the BAFP has no need for canned vegetables (i.e., peas, corn, carrots, all varieties of beans) and soups, both cream and other varieties.
Pantry clients will receive items that have been pre-bagged. To make appointments for either pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

MCAP to present ‘Charlie Cox Runs With Scissors’
Mighty Corson Art Players will present their spring show, “Charlie Cox runs With Scissors” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 16-17 and 23-24, and at 2:30 p.m. Sundays, April 18 and 25.
Tickets are available online at mightycorson.com/box-office.
‘Charlie Cox Runs With Scissors’ involves Charlie Cox, a middle-aged editor, after learning that he has the incurable, degenerative condition known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, gets in his car and starts driving. He soon finds himself in the Arizona desert, where he uncharacteristically picks up a hitchhiker, a sarcastic, impatient guy named Wally, who happens to be his own personal death emissary. As Wally urges him to get it over with, lovely, sexy Kiki enters the picture wearing dark glasses since “love is blind.” Wally is infuriated when love blossoms between Charlie and the widow Nell, and the ensuing battle between Death and Love teaches Charlie the importance of living life to the fullest.
