BVHS’s Class of ’20 Hall of Fame inductees announced
This years class of inductees into Brandon Valley High School’s Atjhletic Hall of Fame includes three individuals and a team. They will all be inducted at the March 28 banquet. Tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased at the high school office starting March 2.
This year’s inductees are Dan Hanson, Class of 1976; Mike Meyers, Class of 1982; Heidi Hoff, Class of 2009; and the 2011 state championship girls’ basketball team.
Next Coffee with the Council is Feb. 15
Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce has February’s “Coffee with the Council” scheduled from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at Kingbird Coffee, 509 N. Splitrock Blvd. Two to three Brandon City Councilpersons will be on hand to talk with residents about ideas, concerns and the like.
Bingo at the VFW
Proceeds from Bingo Night at the Brandon VFW on Saturday, Jan. 25 will go to Brandon Valley’s eighth grade Washington, D.C., trip. Bingo will be played from 7-10 p.m.
Brandon Library joins in National Puzzle Day fun
Did you know that Jan. 29 is National Puzzle Day?
It is – and the Brandon Community Library, 305 Splitrock Blvd., has gathered an assortment of puzzles for all ages. Come to the library Jan. 29 through Monday, Feb. 3 to help piece them together – and perhaps make some new friends!

VSE Science Fair is Feb. 6
The public is invited to take in the Valley Springs Elementary PTA-sponsored Science Fair from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 in the VSE gym. Judging will begin immediately upon setup and awards will be presented at 7 p.m.
Chamber’s Auction Amore is Feb. 7
Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce invites the public to Auction Amore, a night of silent and live auctions, complete with complimentary wine, hors de oeuvres and games, starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7 at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Brandon.
Tickets are $20 each and may be purchased from BVACC board members, at the door. or online at brandonvalleychamber.com.
The silent auction starts at 6 p.m. and the live auction begins at 7:45 p.m.
