Those worried they missed the Minnehaha County Commission meeting this week can rest easy.
Because Christmas fell on their regular meeting day, commissioners have moved their end-of-the-year meeting to 9 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 27, at the county administration building at Sixth and Minnesota in Sioux Falls.
Commissioners plan to wrap up business from 2018 before re-organizing at their Jan. 8, 2019 meeting, when they will name the commission chairperson for the year, three legal newspapers, committees, and other items for the new year.
But before the commission begins their 2019 business, county residents still have a chance to voice any concerns they have this year.
The public is reminded that a portion of time is set aside at all public governmental meetings for constituents to air their concerns and/or grievances.
While this rescheduled meeting is on a Thursday, most commission meetings are held on Tuesday mornings.
