Lynx alumni hoops game Friday
Brandon Valley basketball will host a Lynx basketball game, featuring alumni from past teams. The fun starts at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27 at the high school. Admission is free, but free will donations will be accepted on behalf of the family of Brandon Larsen. The night of hoops will include a traditional game, 3-on-3 contest, dunk contest, $1 lightning games and more.
BAFP December needs
The needs for December at the Brandon Area Food Pantry are laundry detergent, bottled juices, fruit snacks, Kleenex, shampoo, cookies. The Pantry has an ample supply of canned vegetables, fruits and soups.
Before donating food items, please check expiration dates and that cans are not bulging from age and/or freezing. Monetary donations are also appreciated.
The BAFP is also accepting used eye glasses and hearing aids on behalf of the Brandon Lions Club.

BVSD Kindergarten registration
Starting Jan. 2, Brandon Valley School District will begin accepting registrations for 2020-21 kindergarten screening process. Any family who has a child that will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2020, is eligible to start kindergarten next fall.

Second semester bus passes
Bus passes for the second semester of the school year at Brandon Valley are due by Jan. 10. Passes may be purchased by mailing payment to the BVSD Transportation Department, 812 E. Redwood Blvd., Brandon, online at branodnvalleyschools.com under the Webmall button, given to student’s bus driver; or at the transportation office, which is open 6:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Brandon Sr. Citizens
The Brandon Senior Citizens meet 12:30 p.m. Thursdays at the VFW for Bingo and cards. All are welcome. The group also lunches together on the third Thursday of each month, with a noon meal catered by Tony’s.
