Citywide spring rummage sale registration now open
The 2026 Brandon Citywide Spring Rummage Sales are set for Thursday-Saturday, May 7-9. Registration is open now at brandonrummages.com. Friday, May 1 is the deadline to register.
The complete list sales will be available online Monday, May 4.
BVHS spring musical tickets on sale
Tickets for Brandon Valley High’s spring play, “The SpongeBob Musical” are now available for purchase online through BOUND at brandonvalleyk12.sd.us (click on the BVHS link). The show will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, April 23-25 and at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 25. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. No passes will be accepted.
BV T&F Invite, BVHS Prom are Saturday
It’s going to be a busy Saturday at Brandon Valley High School on Saturday, April 11. The day begins with the Lynx Track & Field Invitational at 10 a.m. and wraps up with the Junior-Senior Prom grand march at 8 p.m., which is open to the public.
Chamber’s Cha-Ching raffle drawings are underway
The weekday prize drawings for the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce’s Cha-Ching Raffle continues this week through April 30, topping out with the $5,000 cash grand prize drawing.
Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased at the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce.
Bethany Chili & Soup Cookoff is April 18
Bethany’s annual Chili & Soup Cookoff is set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 18. The cost is $8 for adults or free will donation; kids under age 12 are free. All proceeds will benefit the Brandon, Valley Springs, Split Rock and Garretson volunteer fire departments.
Entries are sought from local businesses, organizations and individuals.

Bingo at the VFW this Saturday
Family Bingo Night at the Brandon VFW is set for 7 p.m. Saturday, April 18. Cards are just 25 cents each and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Brandon Area Food Pantry.
Brandon Food Pantry’s April needs
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry Rice-a-Roni, pizza crust mixes, mustard, small boxes of fruit snacks, bottled Ranch dressing, bottled salad dressings and deodorant.
