Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are Dinty Moore beef stew, Suddenly Salad, pizza sauce, small boxes of Pop Tarts, brownie and cookie mixes, hard taco shells, microwave popcorn, Knorr noodles and rice, shampoo (no conditioner).
To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Brandon Lutheran Family Fest & BBQ
Brandon Lutheran Church invites the community to its annual BLC Family Fest & BBQ from 4:4;30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 5. Worship and the Vacation Bible School program begins at 6:15 p.m. Bingo, inflatable games and more will be set up. There is a charge for meals: BBQ pulled pork, walking tacos or hot dogs. Family Treats Ice Cream truck will also be on site.
VS Legion gathering worn, tired flags
All worn and tired flags may be dropped off at the Valley Springs American Legion Hall. Legionnaires will property dispose of these flags during a flag retirement ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, June 14 on the eastside of Legion Community Park.
Current lawn watering restrictions
Timely rainfalls has city of Brandon water customers in stage 1 (green) of lawn watering restrictions. The even/odd schedule allows users with even-numbered addresses to water on even-number calendar dates; users with odd-numbered addresses may water on odd-numbered calendar dates.
Water restriction stages and other updates are posted on the city website and Facebook pages.
Free senior fitness classes
Circuit Fitness, 1124 E. Holly Blvd., Brandon, offers free senior fitness 55-plus try-it classes from 8:30-9:15 a.m. the first week of every month. The low-impact classes are all about gaining strength, balance and agility.

Citizens
The Brandon Senior Citizens meet at 12:30 p.m. every Thursday at the VFW for Bingo, cards socializing and coffee.
All seniors are welcome.
Al-Anon meetings in Brandon
Al-Anon meets from 7:30-8:30 p.m. every Tuesday at Brandon Lutheran Church, 600 E. Holly Blvd.
