Splitrock Fire

Department Pancake Breakfast is Sunday

Volunteers for the Splitrock Fire Department will be serving up its annual pancake breakfast from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m., Sunday, May 5 at the fire hall. A free will donation will be accepted. 

 

FNB host site of May 10 blood drive

Community Blood Bank and First National Bank of Brandon, 101 S. Splitrock Blvd., will host a community blood drive from 8-11 a.m. and noon-2 p.m. Friday, May 10. Donors can schedule a donation time by logging onto cbblifeblood.org/events and select May 10. Additional information can be found by callimg (605) 331-3222.

Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with a signed parent consent form), weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good general health. It is recommended that a person eat and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating blood. An ID is required at the time of donation.

 

Register for Brandon rummages by Friday

Friday, May 3 is the deadline to register your rummage sale for the May 9-11 Brandon Citywide Rummages.

This is the 23rd annual spring citywide rummages in Brandon.

The list of sales will be available Monday, May 6 at brandonrummages.com.

 

Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry

Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are Dinty Moore beef stew, Suddenly Salad, pizza sauce, small boxes of Poptarts, brownie and cookie mixes, hard taco shells, microwave popcorn, Knorr noodles and rice, shampoo.

To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Used eye glasses and hearing aids for the Brandon Lions Club may also be dropped off at the BAFP.

 

Al-Anon meetings in Brandon

Al-Anon meets from 7:30-8:30 p.m. every Tuesday at Brandon Lutheran Church, 600 E. Holly Blvd.

 

Register for MCAP summer kids camp

Registrations for the Mighty Corson Art Players summer kids camp are now being accepted. The camp, set for June 10-14, will take place at the Corson Playhouse. . 

The camp is for kids in grades K-6. The fee is $65 per child, and slots are available for up to 20 participants per session. Morning sessions are 9-11:30 a.m. and the afternoon sessions run from 1-3:30 p.m. Registration closes May 27.
