Loyalty Day Parade planning meetings
The next scheduled planning meetings for Brandon’s annual Loyalty Day Parade are set for 7 p.m. Wednesdays, April 19 and 26. All meetings are held at the Brandon VFW.
Toddler, Preschool Storytime resumes at Brandon Library
Toddler Storytime and Preschool Storytime have returned to the Brandon Community Library. Toddler Storytime is held from 10-10:25 a.m. Tuesdays now through May 4. This program is for 2-year-olds and their caregiver.
Preschool Storytime is held from 10-10:30 a.m. Wednesdays starting now through May 10. This program is for ages 3-5.
Brandon Food Pantry fundraiser is April 28
The Brandon Area Food Pantry’s Fundraiser Dinner returns on Friday, April 28 at the Brandon Golf Course. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7. Tickets are $45 per person or $270 for a table of six. To sponsor an entrée, side dish or dessert, the cost is $270 and includes two tickets.

April needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
This month’s needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are cookies, small jars of peanut butter, jelly, jam, Suddenly Salads, brownie and cake mixes, small bags of flour, shampoo and Kleenex.
To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Brandon Lutheran to host May 1 blood drive
Brandon Lutheran Church, 600 Holly Blvd., will host a blood drive from noon-6 p.m. Monday, May 1. To schedule an appointment to donate, visit redcrossblood.org.
BLC Food Truck Night is May 3
Brandon Lutheran Church will host its Kick Off To Summer Food Truck Extravaganza Night from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3.
May 6 is Valley Springs city-wide clean-up day
The city-wide clean-up day in Valley Springs is set for Saturday, May 6. From 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Valley Springs residents may bring items to the City Maintenance Building, 308 Broadway Ave. Items that will not be accepted are tires, chemicals, hazardous wastes, garbage, yard waste, oil products, pesticides, electronics, batteries, paint products, concrete and mattresses.
