Free Pizza, Free Prayer on Feb. 11
The Redemption Riders will be giving away 400 free pizzas until they are gone beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at Celebrate Church in Brandon. The Redemption Riders is a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. To learn more, contact Celebrate Church at (605) 582-7771.
March 14 is Future Planning Fair at BVHS
From 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, students at Brandon Valley High School will have the opportunity to explore their futures at the Future Planning Fair. The Fair, which is held in the BVHS Activity Center, will take place during parent-teacher conferences.
Local businesses and area colleges will be on hand to share information on careers, summer work opportunities, part-time jobs during the school year and more.

February list needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
This month’s needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are pizza sauce and crust, SPAM, small boxes of PopTarts, Manwich, muffin and cookie mixes, hard taco shells, paper towels.
To make appointments for either pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Next Military History Program is Feb. 19
The American Legion Post 131 in Valley Springs will host their monthly Military History program at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Post Home. The topic is yet to be announced, and the program is free and open to the public.
Clear snow from fire hydrants
The Brandon and Valley Springs volunteer fire departments remind residents to help clear snow from fire hydrants near their home. Remove any snow and ice within a three-foot perimeter of the hydrant and clear a path from the hydrant to the street.
Ed Polzine Wild Game Feed puts out call for donations
The Ed Polzine Wild Game Feed committee is accepting donations of wild game and live and silent auction items for its wild game feed and auction on Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Brandon VFW.
