Supe's On: Proposed 2025-26 academic calendar similar to this year

The proposed 2025-26 Academic Calendar has been submitted for review and consideration. Our proposed calendar for the next school year is consistent and corresponding with the current calendar. Within next year’s proposed Academic Calendar, I would highlight multiple items of interest.

Proposed 2025-2026 BVSD Academic

Calendar

• Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025 – First Day of School for Students

• Sunday, May 10, 2026 – Graduation Ceremony

• Thursday, May 21, 2026 – Last Day of School for Students

A presentation providing a detailed overview of the proposed 2025-26 Academic Calendar is available within the Jan. 13 Brandon Valley Board of Education meeting. The proposed calendar is scheduled for adoption in late January. When the 2025-26 Academic Calendar has been formally adopted, we will communicate the final calendar to families through a variety of platforms, including email, websites, and school newsletters. We appreciate all of the individuals and committees that have collaborated and assisted in the development of our calendar.

Lastly, a quick reminder that there is no school in the Brandon Valley School District on Monday, Jan. 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
