Supe's On: Be an informed voter when going to the polls in June

The 101st session of the South Dakota Legislature is nearly complete with March 12 the last day of session and March 30 reserved for gubernatorial vetoes. We would like to thank our District 2 Legislators for the role in the process. The Brandon Valley School District legislative priorities have been and continue to be, Resources, Local Control, and the Promotion of Public Education.

The strength of our democracy depends on actively engaged citizens that are informed voters. I encourage our District 2 citizens to perform their civic duty, and perform their right to vote as educated voters. As voters, it is essential to stay informed on the issues, understand the position of candidates, and vote.

Upon a strong foundation, great things are built. Public Education is one of those foundational building blocks for our community, state, and country. Investments into our children, are investments into the future. Together, informed citizens and dedicated leaders can build a stronger, more resilient community for generations to come. Go, Lynx!
