Iowa Lakes Foundation awards over $800,000 in Fall 2024 scholarships
Two students from Brandon have been awarded scholarships from the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation. The Foundation awarded 574 scholarships to 342 students, totaling $807,215.25 to date.
Alexander Kane was presented the Gaarde Hinsch Music scholarship. Amanda Tews is the recipient of two scholarships, the HG Albee Aviation/Airport Management and H Albee Music scholarships.
The average scholarship amount is $2,814.

Shannon Backer, of Brandon, received a Master Health Science in Pathology from Quinnipiac University (Hamden, Conn.) during a commencement ceremony held in May.
