Splitrock Ladies Bowling League results

The Splitrock Ladies bowled March 24, coming away with the following results: High Team Game & Series, Rock River Ag., LLC, 869 & 2,499; High Individual Game & Series, Marcia Bork, 212, which was 66 pins over average & 498.

Shari Petri picked up the 4-5 split; Marie Cissell picked up the 3-9-10 & 3-10 splits; Bonnie Bruggeman picked up the 3-9-10 split; Julaine Walker picked up the 5-7 split; Barb Caffrey picked up the 3-10 split; Cheryl Scholl picked up the 5-10 split; Lisa Claassen picked up the 3-6-7-9 split; and Diane Fueston picked up the 3-10 & 3-9-10 splits.

Amy Caldwell, Jan Fonder, Kathie Franz and Pat Paulsen each had one turkey, and Marcia Bork had two turkeys.

coach resigns

Sioux Falls Roosevelt boys’ basketball coach Mitch Begeman announced his resignation from the position on social media last week. 

Begeman, who held the position for 10 years, shared he has accepted a new job with MRG/Hauff as the reason for stepping down.

In his time at the helm of the Rough Riders, Begeman compiled a 140-88 record, guiding the team to state titles in 2020-21 and 2021-22.
