Jesse James claims ‘2022-23 ladies bowling league team title
Despite winter’s wrath, members of the Splitrock Ladies Bowling League marked their 30-week season with a variety of awards at their annual banquet held April 25 at Eastway Bowl.
Following dinner, which was an order-off-the-menu-affair, Cheryl Scholl welcomed everyone and recognized all who bowled this year, including substitutes Renee Nelson and Lois Leslie. Door prizes – gathered by the host team, Garretson Insurance – were given out.
Bonnie Kramer presented the team awards to first-half team winners, Jesse James, and second-half team winners, JSA/Engineers & Land Surveyors. The two teams had a roll-off on April 18, which was won by Jesse James. Members of the team are Vickie Wielenga, Jackie Engebretson, Arlys Johnson, Bonnie Kramer and Renee Nelson.
