Janet Rollinger, 70
Janet Leah Rollinger was born Sept. 4,1955. She was the oldest of three kids to Bill and Linda Rollinger of Sioux Falls. She went to elementary school at Christ the King and graduated from O’Gorman High in 1973. Jan began her work career at the Rollinger family business, “Central Waterproofing” where she learned to caulk, sandblast, and became a great tuck pointer. She later worked at a local favorite eastside bar, Clem’s, where she learned to play billiards. She became a great shooter and won many local events. Several years she competed in the World Finals in Las Vegas representing the women’s team from South Dakota.
She moved to Florida and worked for several years as a manager at corporate McDonald’s locations in the Orlando area. She fought and won a courageous battle with breast cancer and was a 30-plus year survivor. Moving back to South Dakota, she worked at Hutchinson Technology, where she met the love of her life and was married to Chad Styles of Sioux Falls on Oct. 8, 1997. They moved to Timmonsville, S.C. where she loved to read books and could be found curled under a warm blanket with her famous homemade buttered popcorn watching old TV shows. She was a lifelong animal lover and had many dogs throughout the years. She passed away Sunday, May 19, 2026 after a short illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Linda Rollinger; many aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband Chad Styles, Timmonsville, S.C.; her brother, Mark (Karin) Rollinger, Rowena; and a sister, Paula.
