Edith Jarding, 93

Edith Lor-Rae Jarding, 93, of Sioux Falls and formerly of Humboldt, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2026 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Memorial Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2026 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Sunday, March 1, 2026, also at the church.

She is survived by her children, Charles (Paula) Jarding, Humboldt, Cynthia (Wayne) Mergen, Dell Rapids, John (Jackie) Jarding. Humboldt, Donna (Jim) Schenkel, Brandon, and Bob (Brenda) Jarding. Sioux Falls; daughter-in-law, Margaret Jarding, Sioux Falls; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie (Donna) Beck; and sister-in-law, DeAnna Minnaert.
