David “Dave” Neilan, 49

David “Dave” Wayne Neilan, 49, of Sioux Falls passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 22, 2026, following a sudden cardiac event. 

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, June 29, 2026, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Sioux Falls. 

Dave is survived by his wife, Holly; his son, Benji; and his daughter, Bella; his parents, Sally and Alan Neilan; siblings, Bridgette (JT) Scott Neilan and Curtis (Roberta) Neilan, all of Waubay; his mother-in-law, Barb (Steve) Anderson of Yankton; his father-in-law, Tom DesLauriers of Sioux Falls; and his sister-in-law, Amy (Ryan) Dulaney of Brandon;   He is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews: Landon, Tristan, Camden, Traveion, Jessie, Casharie, Kaliesha, and Levy; and three very special friends Dan, Travis, and Marcus.
