Bruce Nytroe, 75

Bruce Jay Nytroe, 75, Brandon, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life Open House will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, with a memorial service beginning at 6:30 p.m., at Heartland Funeral Home in Brandon. 

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cathy Nytroe; sons, Jared (Amanda) Nytroe, of Brandon, Brandon (Haleigh) Nytroe, Sioux Falls, and David Nytroe, Sioux Falls; special nephew, Brian Sabia, Sioux Falls; 11 grandchildren, Brandi, Novah, Tinsley, Ember, AJ, Aslee, Jasper, Jaxon, Faith, Phillip and Sincere; sisters, Bonnie (Gene) Schumaker, Sioux Falls, Barb (Jim) Schartz, Brandon, and Brenda Lape, Brandon; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.
