Brandon boy to take part in National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM

This summer, Brandon youth Lincoln Schneider will join outstanding elementary school students from across the country to take part in a unique academic and career-oriented development experience, the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Pathways to STEM taking place in Minneapolis.

NYL: Pathways to STEM is one of the Envision by WorldStrides family of programs (envisionexperience.com) that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom. During the program, he will explore engineering, medicine, and CSI activities.

Schneider recently finished fourth grade at Robert Bennis Elementary in Mrs. Storm’s classroom. His favorite subjects are Math and Science. Recently, he completed weeklong day camps at Sioux Falls Code Ninjas dojo in Game Programming using Scratch (scratch.mit.edu) as well as 3D printing using Tinkercad (tinkercad.com). Schneider played baseball in the Brandon Valley Little League for the past two summers, and FCA flag football in fall and spring seasons. He also enjoys playing chess, swimming, riding his bike, and playing video games with his friends. With dreams of being an engineer or a chemist, he is looking forward to gaining hands-on experience with these topics that the forum will provide.
