It was a stellar season for the Brandon Valley boys’ cross country team. They were recognized at halftime of Thursday’s playoff football game for winning this year’s Eastern South Dakota Conference title. This team is one of BV’s most successful boys’ teams in school history, which also included a AA state medalist run – and course record – set by senior Mikah Peters. Here’s a rundown of how the rest of their season played out: First place: St. Olaf, Brandon Valley Invitational, Watertown Invite and ESD; second place: Huron Invite, Brookings Invite (includes combined team trophy), Metro Conference; and third place: State.
