Benefit planned for injured couple
A benefit for a Brandon couple, Jeff Shomion and Linda Park, will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the Double D Saloon in Brandon.
Shomion and Park were injured in a hit-and-run accident Feb. 14 in Corson. Park sustained a fractured pelvis and a broken fibula and tibia, and endured a seven-hour surgery and spent seven weeks in the hospital. She will be wheelchair-bound for three-plus months. Shomion suffered broken ribs. Both are unable to work because of the injures.
