Residents and staff of Helping Hand Assisted Living celebrated National Assisted Living Week with an outing to Baum’s Pond northwest of Garretson. Chris Carlin (above left) soaked up some rare sunshine as she reeled in fish. Paul Gulbrandson caught a “whopper” as shown by Brandon Boss Gobbler Bob Nelson. The week also included wheelchair races, canvas painting and live entertainment by Wayne Lee. Brandon Valley Assembly of God provided the bus and driver to and from Baum’s Pond.
