In following suit of the outcome of the 11AAA state football championship played between Brandon Valley and Sioux Falls Lincoln at the DakotaDome on Saturday night, the Lynx also won a second competition against the Patriots. On Tuesday morning, BVHS Principal Mark Schlekeway confirmed that BV had overwhelmingly won the food pantry donation competition, with BV’s donations going to the Brandon Food Pantry and Lincoln’s to a Sioux Falls pantry. In all total, BV donated over 5,000 items and Lincoln’s total reached 434 items. Schlekeway said the competition ultimately was for the greater good of the food pantries and their recipients.
