Celebration UMC to serve drive-thru supper
A drive-thru pulled pork supper will be served from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 13 at Celebration United Methodist Church, 500 N. Pasque Flower Trail in Brandon.
The meal cost is $10 and includes pulled pork, potato salad, dessert bars and water.
VS Legion gathering worn, tired flags
All worn and tired flags may be dropped off at the Valley Springs American Legion Hall. Legionnaires will property dispose of these flags during a flag retirement ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, June 14 on the eastside of Legion Community Park.
Litter Clean Up along Holly Blvd.
Put Saturday, June 29 on your calendar, as it’s the day for the Adopt-a-Highway Litter Clean Up along Holly Boulevard. The event is from 10 a.m.-noon and participants should meet in the Sioux Valley Energy parking lot. Safety vests, trash bags and gloves will be provided, but bring your own is encouraged.

Register for city’s new mass notification system
Register for mass notifications on general alerts from the city, including snow, lawn watering, etc.), pool, elections, summer rec, Core and Rushmore projects. Residents may specify which notifications they want to receive.
The system code may take a few minutes to be sent to individual’s inbox, so city advises to wait for the code before asking it to resend.
This notification system replaces the city’s previous texting program.
