Mary J. Erkonen, 80, of Sioux Falls, died Friday, July 25, 2025 surrounded by her family at Avera Prince of Peace in Sioux Falls. 

A private graveside service for family and interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Amy (Patrick) Landelle and Marie and Catherine of Edina, Minn., Scott (Kimberly) Erkonen and Andrew, Abigail, Matthew, and Megan of Brandon, Sean (Danielle) Erkonen of Sioux Falls, Cara (Dewey) Tullar and Emily and Taylor of Aberdeen; sister-in-law, Cathy Larsen; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
