Letters to the Editor - Lane: Let me set the record straight

Before committing to this campaign for District 2 House, I made a promise to myself that I would not engage in propaganda or political gamesmanship. I intend to continue honoring that commitment.

However, I do need to address statements made in a Letter to the Editor printed in the May 20, 2026 issue of the Brandon Valley Journal, claiming that I have refused to answer questions submitted by the public. Those comments are false, misleading, and frankly disappointing.

For quite some time, the people following my campaign have had the opportunity to learn where I stand on the issues by visiting my website at https://www.brandonlaneforsd.com/issues where my responses and positions have been publicly available. For anyone who has not yet had the opportunity, I encourage you to visit the site if those forum answers are of interest to you.

I appreciate the opportunity to clarify the record. As this campaign continues, I remain committed to running this race with honesty, transparency, and respect, because ultimately it is the residents of District 2 to whom I answer.

Sincerely,

Brandon Lane
District 2 House Candidate
