Jeff Nelson, 64

Jeff Nelson, 64, of rural Brandon, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025 at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls surrounded by his family following a courageous battle with cancer.

Celebration of life service will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Miller Funeral Home Southside Chapel, 7400 S. Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls. Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 4-7 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Chris; daughter, Heather (Brian) Crosby of Harrisburg; son, Daniel (Amber) Nelson of Gulfport, Miss.; eight grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law,  Kena Nelson, Sioux Falls, Rickey (Erka) Leitheiser, Chester, Penny (Jeff) Peterson, Crooks, Terry (Monica) Leitheiser, Rapid City; several nieces, nephews and many special friends.
