David Taggart, 60

David Taggart, 60, of Sioux Falls, died Friday Aug. 8, 2025 after his courageous battle with alcohol addiction and declining mental health.

The family will be present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at Miller Funeral Home Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls.

He is survived by his children, Megan (Derek) Johnson and their daughter Montana, Cody (Elizabeth) Taggart and their son Jett, all of Harrisburg; his step mother, Charlotte Taggart; and his siblings and step siblings, Jim (Staci) Taggart, Roy (Alicia) Taggart, Scott Carpenter, Marcia (Phil) Leihigh, Mary (Scott) Kenner, Melissa Taggart, and Sheri (Shawn) Jennings, Mark Schultz, Lee (A.J.) Jackson, Troy (Dan) Tripp; and host of other relatives and friends.
