David “Dave” M. Kock, 71

David “Dave” M. Kock, 71, of Sioux Falls, died Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Dougherty Hospice House. Dave fought a hard and long battle against Multiple Myeloma starting Sept 22, 2010. Dave has made a heroic choice to gift his body to USD School of Medicine to help further research for this rare form of cancer, Multiple Myeloma. No services will be held at this time.

He is survived by his siblings, Mike (Sheri) Schumacher and Kim Morgan, all of Valley Springs, Howard Smedsrud of Sioux Falls; friend, Sharon Funge-McCain, Sioux Falls, SD; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
