Caden Metzger, 21 of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, due to a traffic accident near Steen, Minn.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 11, 2026, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Burial was in the Hills of Rest Cemetery at Sioux Falls.

He is survived by his mother, Emily Peterson and her fiancé Chris Feldick of Sioux Falls; his father, Matt and Kayla Metzger of Sioux Falls; brothers, Payton and Makaylee Metzger, Maddox Metzger, Charles and Damon Metzger, all of Sioux Falls; his maternal grandparents, Don and Penny Peterson of Garvin, Minn., and paternal grandparents, Ray and Kathy Metzger of Brandon; his aunts and uncles, Monica and Brad Rilling of Sioux Falls, Bryce and Jess Peterson of Garvin, Minn., Kristi Metzger of Sioux Falls, Rex and Erin Metzger and Tyson and Jenna Metzger all of of Beaver Creek, Minn.; and his cousins, Briley and Cooper Rilling of Sioux Falls, Lane, Soren, and Tait Peterson of Garvin, Brodie, Briggs, and Brooks Metzger of Beaver Creek, and Ellie, Finley, Briley, and Case Metzger of Beaver Creek; and a four-legged hunting buddy, KC.
