Dr. Jarod Larson, Superintendent of Brandon Valley School District

Has the COVID-19 closure revealed a teacher who is creative, devoted, positive, and making a difference?

A nomination form for the Brandon Valley School District Teacher of the Year award must be submitted with two (2) letters of recommendation and returned no later than Thursday, April 9. Your time and support of an outstanding educator is greatly appreciated.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the best source of up-to-date Brandon Valley School District information is on our Covid-19 Information website. The link to our COVID-19 Information website can be found on the school district homepage at https://brandonvalley.k12.sd.us/covid/covid.html

During our school closure, there are specific strategies a household can utilize to promote a child’s learning and emotional health.

• Maintain a daily routine – including exercise;

• Limit a child’s consumption of news;

• Practice stress relieving activities;

• Stay digitally connected with family and friends.

Maintaining a daily routine, that includes physical exercise, and allows a child to continue with academic learning, is critical to student success. Further, limiting our children’s consumption of news and practicing stress-relieving activities promotes a child’s emotional well-being.

Stay engaged and be an Active Learner. Together, we will get through this The Lynx Way!

Go Lynx!
