Letter to the Editor: Thanks for the tunes

On behalf of our commander, Major Rafael Toro-Quinones and all the members of the USAF Heartland of America Band, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to you and the Brandon Valley Journal for sponsoring a performance of Offutt Brass. Your outstanding publicity campaign resulted in a well-attended concert and wonderfully engaged audience!

With your support, we achieved one of our organization’s top mission priorities: community engagement. Brandon was one of seven Offutt Brass concert locations throughout South Dakota that, in total, reached over 2,100 live audience members. Among them were military veterans, families of deployed personnel, local civic leaders and government officials. Your contributions not only lifted the spirits of those in attendance, but also inspired patriotism and increased public confidence in those who serve within our nation’s military. 

I wish you and your family the very best, and look forward to our next visit to the Brandon community. Congratulations to you and your staff for a job well done!
