Letter to the Editor: 'Brandon Strong' blessings

I am thankful that a movement called Brandon Strong is happening in our city. Sad to say, just a few people can change the atmosphere in our small city. Brandon is home to so many wonderful people; we do not need to follow the path that has been dividing our country!
I would like you to meet my neighbor, Jeff Birath. He has a four-wheeler (with a snow blade!) He spent hours after our last big snowfall just driving around helping strangers clear their driveways at no cost for something to do. He has such a generous spirit; perhaps some of you recognize him, and now you know his name.
Jeff spent hours taking care of the mess in front of four driveways of his neighbors after the snow/ice/rain and a plowing that happened after midnight piling up a solid ice mountain in front of each of our driveways. It was a process that pretty much took all day to avoid burning out the engine.
In the picture, you see him with an industrial mop and bucket trying to remove all the water built up at the end of his driveway. We found this pretty humorous, but it was just another step in caring for his home and the homes of his neighbors. We are so blessed to have Jeff and his family as a perfect example of what Brandon Strong is all about.
