City Council petitions due Feb. 28

Nominating petitions to run for Brandon City Council are due to City Hall by 5 p.m. Feb. 28.

Three positions are coming open: One four-year term in Wards 1 and 3, and a two-year term to represent Ward 3. 

Alderman Tim Jorgensen has filed a petition to re-claim the four-year term in Ward 1, and alderwoman Vickie David has picked up a petition for the two-year chair representing Ward 3.

An election, if warranted, will be held April 14.
