Circuit stages May 1-5 virtual Family Fun Fest

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Circuit Martial Arts and Fitness in Brandon is staging their annual Family Fun Fest, but this year have tagged it thee “social distancing edition.” The event takes place May 1-15.

Here’s how to participate: Use #BVfamilyfunfest and tag Circuit in a Facebook post of you and your family completing challenges to win prizes donated by Brandon businesses. Circuit will post the names of prize winners on May 17 on the Circuit Facebook page.

There are 25 challenges: Climb the BV fire tower; go for a bike ride; fly a kite; show off your best layup; walk around the BE track backwards; create a hula hoop dance to music; race a family member up McHardy Park hill; find historical markers in the area; hike at Big Sioux Rec Area; egg toss with your family; have a tennis match with a family member; hold a plank for the duration of your favorite song; play hop scotch in a costume; play tug-of-war “parent” vs. “kids”; create your best sidewalk chalk design; walk or run a mile; jump rope with something unusual; do a family wall handstand competition; juggle three rolls of toilet paper; hit a ball and run the bases three times at Aspen Park; build the tallest toilet paper tower you can; show a creative way to play catch; hike at Palisades State Park; take a wheel barrow ride around your yard; and play Frisbee golf at Pioneer Park.
