BV Chamber doles out scholarships, awards at annual summer mixer
Membership of the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce gathered last week to present annual awards and scholarships. Ten percent of the profits raised from Chamber’s annual Auction Amore is dedicated to $500 scholarships. This year, six scholarships were awarded. Pictured are Rachael Neiman, BVACC executive director, Riley Miller, Ben VanDeBerg, Paige Hoeke, Adriauna Alexander, Elaina Rice and BVACC Board president Bob Logan. Nate Meyers also received a scholarship but was not present. Bob Logan of George Boom Funeral Home was named the “Volunteer of the Year.” Jill Meier, editor/publishder of the Brandon Valley Journal, accepts the award for “Business of the Year.”
