Six receive SME Women

in Excellence awards

Six women have been honored with annual Women in Excellence awards from Sales & Marketing Executives Inc. of Sioux Falls.

They are:

Excellence in Marketing: Carrie Biondi, Sanford Health Foundation.

Excellence in Sales: Dawn Van Nieuwenhuyzen, Plains Commerce Bank.

Entrepreneurial Excellence: Laurie Karlson, Lauriebelles.

Supporting Excellence: Cindy Weber, Sanford Health.

Excellence in Public Service: Harriet Yocum, Madison Investments.

Excellence in Leadership: Darla Van Rosendale, Dow Rummel Village.

The winners were chosen from a field of 84 nominees, and the awards were announced last week at the Women in Excellence event.

Customers support youth mentorship in celebration of Scooter’s 25th birthday

Through the generosity of its customers, employees and franchisees, Scooter’s Coffee is supporting the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America, a youth mentoring organization, with a $68,324 donation.

Scooter’s Coffee partnered with big Brothers/Big Sisters to support its mission of helping young people realize their full potential through the power of mentorship. Big Brothers/Big Sisters reaches youth in 5,000-plus communities nationwide through its network of over 230 local agencies.
